How to tone your tummy from the comfort of your own home

  • There is an exercise you can try to tone your tummy from your home

  • Hydration is key — aim for minimum three litres per day and this can include juice, soups and herbal tea. (Avoid Caffeine)

Tone your tummy with these simple exercise

Few specific exercise helps in loosing weight and toning the tummy

Lie down flat on your back with your hands down by your sides. Pull your tummy in so you can feel pressure on your back against the floor. 

Bring your knees towards your chest and push one foot out in front of you, moving your leg in a circular movement.Try this exercise to tone your tummy lying down in the comfort of your own home, says Nadya Fairweather

Alternate moving your legs, as if you are riding a bicycle. The slower you do this, the harder it will be.

Also bending down while in standing position is considered very effective on flattening the tummy. whenever possible try to bend and touch your toes. do this multiple times in a day in office, home, kitchen etc. the more you do better for your stomach.

The other important aspect for toned tummy is your diet.

You are what you eat:

For a flatter stomach choose probiotic and prebiotic foods, which are great at supporting healthy digestion, Probiotics are ‘good’ bacteria that keep our digestive system healthy, and prebiotics are carbohydrates that act as food for probiotics.

  1. Have more fluids including juice and herbal tea
  2. Choose food which grow on plant and avoid food which are manufactured in plants (Avoid processed food)
  3. Say no to Maida (all purpose flour) which is present in cookies, pasta, noodles, cakes etc. choose wheat based bakery items
  4. Intake more Fiber
  5. Do not gulp your food but chew it properly. Eat Consciously 
  6. Choose small meals over large meals
  7. Dont chew Gum. it is believed that chewing gums bloats your stomach
  8. Hot water with lemon and honey is considered to quickly help loose stomach fat
  9. Sugar is more dangerous than fat 
  10. Have your breakfast like king, Lunch like average man and dinner like a beggar ( eat less at night and try to finish your dinner by 8:00 PM)

Following above diet and exercise will help you tone your stomach, however consistency is the key. 

Once you achieve your desired results maintaining  the same is also very important. else all your efforts and hard work may go for a toss. continue the routine and make it a habit. Having cookies, ice cream and chocolates some times is fine but major part of our diet should have less sugar and more fiber and protein.
